EMT training classes offered by IMME are accelerated, and take 7 weeks to complete. Included in the course is American Heart BLS CPR, and the NREMT practical exam. IMME has up-to-date equipment, and utilizes conference rooms for teaching. IMME has several adjunct instructors that hold a NREMT certification. Upon successful completion of the course, students are allowed to take the National Registry written and practical exams. The written exam is computer based and offered across the country. The practical exam is offered at the end of the EMT course consisting of real-life emergency scenarios.
Location: Comfort Inn Hotel - Conference Center (1370 North Avenue, Bozeman MT)
Course Schedule: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights at 5:30pm
Textbook Requirements: AAOS Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick & Injured; 11th Edition
Other Requirements: Blood pressure cuff and stethoscope (available for sale from Instructor)
10 Hour Ambulance/ ER/ Fire Department Ride Along/ Observation: Students will schedule with Instructor.
Course Cost: $925 total ($300 deposit sent in with application).

The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid course teaches how to manage illness and injuries until professional help arrives. Upon course completion your First Aid card will be valid for 2 years.

First AID & CPR Recertification

All EMT's are required to re-certify every two years. Included in the recertification requirements is taking a 24-hour EMT-Refresher course. IMME offers a Refresher course in February each year. This course includes a CPR re-cert, lectures, hands-on skills practice and an exam.
Continuing Education Credits
IMME offers EMT’s the opportunity to gain continuing education credits throughout the year. Current EMT’s are required to have 48 hours of continuing education. Please contact IMME for CE opportunities offered throughout the year.
